Check out this ghastly John Lennon forgery that sold for $3000.  And look at the bogus LOA. Then read the pitiful description that guarantees the seller’s meticulous dedication to selling only authentic autographs.  How disgusting!  And sadly, someone fell for this.

Here’s a link to the ebay sale:

Below is from the DESCRIPTION offered by the seller:

Purchase your Signed Beatles Treasures, Rock and Roll Memorabilia and Sports Memorabilia From JAM Collectibles

The world of collectibles can be many different things.  Two of the most obvious is 1) collecting for fun; and 2) collecting investment grade items.  Of course, all collecting should be fun, but not all collectibles, in fact most, are not of investment grade.  Unfortunately, the average collector has very little, by way of resources, to tell the difference.  My name is xxxxx xxxxxxxx.  I have been in the collectibles field for over 35 years and have been featured in books, magazines, national television shows (such as Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, ABC, CBS and NBC news, Entrepreneur Magazine, as an authentication expert for such companies as Christie’s and Sotheby’s and on the successful auction program “Auction Kings”).  Most recently, I am featured in the soon to be published definitive book on the impact of The Beatles on the 20th Century and beyond. I am a meticulous investigator into the originality and authenticity of each and every item that I have ever presented to or sold to my vast base of collectors.  All items purchased are guaranteed to be as represented and all come with Certification of Authenticity.  Signed items come with multiple Certifications, and each undergoes a forensic examination by a professional forensic authenticator. Our guarantee provides the purchaser the right of a full refund for the item purchased, while owned by the original purchaser, in the event we are able to conclusively

BEWARE OF COLLECTORS / FANS WHO COLLECT, SELL AND CERTIFY THEIR OWN ITEMS.

Many unfortunate collectors have been lulled into a false sense of security because they have purchased items that comes with a letter from the owner of the item who declares themselves to be experts because they have collected for years and are ardent fans.  This problem is especially pervasive in the rock and roll and sports industries.  This manner of business is ripe with fraud, self-dealing and conflict of interest.  At JAM Collectibles ALL signed items undergo multiple authentications and are not sold from the private collections of anyone doing the selling or the authentication.

Finally, and most importantly, there are many auction houses that are working the sellers of personal collection where both the auction house and the Seller/Authenticator share a mutual benefit in representing the article as real.  We want you to be safe, happy and free from fraud in your purchases.  Please call and talk to me (I will take your calls personally) before spending a significant amount of money on a “SIGNED” piece of memorabilia.  Yes, you may have heard the name of the seller, or read the hype they promote but you are at risk of making serious errors for all the reasons set forth above.

A Certification of Authenticity does not imply that the item will be certified by any other rival authentication companies. The accompanied certification is the only certification the seller can confirm. These items are being sold as collectable pieces and there is no guarantee that a particular item can be resold on any online marketplace. Actual guitar or other pieces, signatures, ink colors and location on piece may vary from picture.

Let me help you, let me guide you with a disinterested third-party evaluation.  I wish you all safe collecting.

Dear sir. I am sure you must have something better to do with your time. I have no story to tell you or anyone else. As I said before, thank you for your thoughts. I am believing my experts but I respect your right to have a different opinion. I wish you a pleasant day and now, having twice shared your thoughts with me, I respectfully ask that you leave me alone.

I guess it is easy when you create your own and don't use reputable organizations. But I am sure there is probably some song and dance about how they are all out to get you.

BURKEL IS BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER

https://www.google.com/search?q=bob+dylan+autograph&rlz=1C1CHBF...

if one googles 'bob dylan autograph' you will end up with 15 different google product listing ads all from burkel's web site. (https://a-authentication.com/)

https://www.google.com/search?q=grateful+dead+autograph&rlz=1C1...

if one googles 'grateful dead autograph' you will end up with 15 different google product listing ads all from burkel's web site. (https://a-authentication.com/)...so one can google practically any popular artist autograph and receive only results of burkel's listings...........try it, steve

https://www.google.com/search?q=jimi+hendrix+autograph&rlz=1C1C...

here is jimi hendrix !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steve==i am under the impression that american royal arts is out of business......in any case burkel is ripping off literally thousands of autograph buyers per year---way more than royal arts ever did.....

according to a member of this site who worked for his company, burkel is spending over $10,000.00 per week on paid google clicks ( PLA,,,,,,,product listing ads) so he must be profiting with hundreds of forgeries sold per month............yet i do not see his site mentioned more than other fraud sites on your site

BURKEL IS A MENACE TO ALL INVOLVED WITH AUROGRAPHS

are you afraid of a law suit from burkel?.......what is the reason that burkel's site is not featured on your home page??

thanks for all the hard work setting up this site to protect the naive.

Bernard,

Google MMP Collectibles and Autograph Live content about them is at the top, after ads if there are any.

Google Autographs Authentication Store and Autograph Live content about them is at the top, after ads if there are any.

Google Burkel or Brian Burkel autographs and Autograph Live content about them is at the top, after ads if there are any.

Google Burkel or Brian Burkel forgeries and Autograph Live content about them is #3 from the top, after ads if there are any.

Home pages don't matter as much as good content. Good blog posts, articles and discussions are primarily what Google picks up on, and most web searches start with Google.

You want to make a real difference? Post new discussions, specific to the autograph(s) you're talking about. Explain it clearly, and ALWAYS upload large images, because those image links will be gone in days or weeks at most. Still post links to the listings if you want, but the images that make your point will be gone in no time.

And please don't upload images as files. Upload them so they display. If you don't know how, there's a link at the top of the page that tells you how to post a discussion.

If you're concerned about Hendrix, talk about the Hendrix offerings that concern you. Same for whoever. Write valuable content that informs and educates collectors and consumers and you'll be making a huge difference.

Brian Burkel just changed the name of his company. It's new name  is PRESTIGE COLLECTIBLES;

Here is the new url:

https://a-authentication.com/

So now when a person who knows very little about autographs and is searching for a gift will find nothing negative on the internet regarding Burkel and his forgeries when they google the name of his new site.. In fact there is a company with the same name that is a leader in selling Japanese Baseball Cards. The most we can do is to just click on his google product listing ads. Is this futile or will he finally be apprehended?

luxwest one of our favorite auction sellers for real stuff ,not

Don’t you know?  They’ve long been one of our most trusted TPAs.

Here's the forger that came from:

https://autographsauthenticationstore.com/

I posted a link to this same LP on the Beatles Forum here.  Also reported the listing to ebay the first day it was offered -- but they let the auction run. Maybe it was a shill bid that "won" it -- we'll see if it turns up again somewhere.

If it doesn't turn up then it really sold if not they will funnel it to one of there other auction sites and names.  Dam my head hurts

The thing is as long as theres a coa and a fancy website people will buy it  .

Wow, what a bunch of completely fake garbage.  Must be nice to own MULTIPLE fully signed Beatles, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Buddy Holly and so many other guitars, not to mention the album covers.  It's really time for the Feds to crack down on the forgery industry in the music autograph world.  Between the mass production of fakes, and now the increasing use of either fake or fraudulent COAs, or of even more concern, forging COAs from otherwise reasonably trusted TPAs, there is going to be no hobby left and hundreds or thousands of people are going to be ripped off again and again.

its not a hobby a lot of this is peoples portfolio ,its an investment
