Seems to me that ebay is lacking activity. No one hardly views or watches items like they used to. Is this just me, or have others noticed?

I believe the "free listings" are one of the key factors that has driven ebay's decline.

There is no disincentive to list a ton of items at ridiculous prices. In my saved searches, I see the same items month after month, year after year.

It's kind of like the spam phone call epidemic. If there was a 3 cent charge per phone call, it would kill spam farms overnight.

Another factor are the thousands of forgeries on Ebay.

The sellers of forgeries use auction-style listings because they profit even if their "Mantle" sells for $30.00 or $40.00.

Back in the day, I only used auction-style listing...

But trying to compete with the thousands of forgeries on Ebay is nearly impossible.
