Hello,

Hoping someone might be able to help me.  This is a terribly long story that I will do my best to keep brief.

I would very much like to acquire a Jackson Browne autograph for my 16 year old daughter.  Specifically, I’d like to have him sign and personalize his song book from “Running on Empty.”

I’ve been collecting autographs since age 9, but this one would be the single most meaningful signature I’ve ever acquired.  Speaking as a dad, this is is a deeply personal and important mission.  In my research over the last several days, I’ve not heard of any TTM success.  I can’t even track down an address.  My thought is to write an old fashioned letter c/o his agent, explain my story, and enclose a check for Mr. Browne to fill out for his favorite charity.

Anyone have thoughts?  Better ideas?  What I hope to avoid is sending a sizable check in return for a secretarial signature.  (My altruism has its limits, lol.)

Another question:  are Browne forgeries common?  (Vintage baseball sigs are my strong suit; I’m ignorant when it comes to music.)

ANY thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thank you.
