Here is a CLASSIC  on Ebay. It's what's called a "Fantasy" item. It's an item that didn't exist back in the day. It's a 1965 backstage pass....that was made in the mid 1980's....and it's "signed" by John Lennon with a doodle! Pretty neat trick...except Lennon died in 1980...before the pass was printed. The guy selling this is asking for $1,765..."Not as good as the "signed" Milk & Honey album from 1984...but it's close!!! Check out the COA. I mean...if you can't believe "Mightie Mike's Animation"...who can you believe?

I contacted the seller and when presented with the information he took it down. That’s rare!

Wow...you don't see that everyday...

Nice to see this.  Did he sound disappointed and sincere with his response, fab?  Or do you think we need to see if it resurfaces?

He sounded disappointed. However he did email me and tell me he looked at his pass and thinks it might be real and he was going to send it to PSA or someone to see if the signature was real. I told him to send it to Roger but for sure it was not genuine. He indicated he would tell me what he found out.

That is an encouraging response. Imo.

Tell him that since Lennon died in 1980...and the fact that these passes came out in the mid 1980's...appox. 5 years after John's death...the chances of the signature being legit is actually quite slim....

Here is a comparison of passes the first is the one with the Lennon signature. Interesting to note it has printing on the back and two registered symbols. The second image is one of the 1980’s reproductions.

Look at John’s nose. It’s gigantic.

The con-artists will never stop, long after we're gone.
