The Morrison doesn’t look authentic to me.

The Hendrix is a style I don’t trust that keeps coming up from Heritage and others, but most seem to come from Heritage.

Thanks. Do you know how Music & Entertainment at Heritage go about authenticating their autographs? Do they use any third parties or is it all done in house? I saw a couple of Princess Diana autographs - who I know quite well - that are fairly obvious forgeries in their upcoming auction. Their sports department is pretty solid but it appears that music/entertainment is a little lax.

I was told by someone at Heritage that all of the autographs in their auction are meticulously vetted in-house by a team of authenticators.

= self appointed authenticators.

I'm not familiar with Morrison. Did he ever sign with his full and separate first name like that? From the brief look I've just had, I couldn't see any examples.

He did sometimes sign “Jim Morrison.”

Thanks.

Ballroom, would you be kind enough to post a couple more examples of this Hendrix style you're not keen on.

Here you go. These are all from Heritage:

Thanks

Yes are strange and for me not authentic. The E and the D in Hendrix have the same dimensions... for me all are fake.

I saw this when it was first introduced in the auction, and is now the fourth or fifth fake Morrison in my opinion being sold by Heritage in the last 5 years.
