Ships in 12 weeks, around August 6th.  Signed by BOTH Beiber & Ariana.  Worth the risk for $5, who else wants to autopen gamble with me out there?  Was $32 for 4.

Not sure who is dumber here - the Ebay sellers or the bidders.

Ebay used to have a policy on preordered items (ex. must have a ship date, must be within 30 days of sale date, etc.), but based on the number of times I've seen people list these preordered items months and month in advanced, I'm guessing either ebay ended that policy or chooses not to enforce it. Also, I doubt most ebay sellers are going to be honest enough to cancel the sale or at least alert buyers who preordered items if they turn out to be autopens on arrival.

This has been a pretty hot story this morning -  Bieber and Grande are #1 and being called out for chart manipulation.

I honestly don't understand why Billboard suddenly became a bratty artist popularity contest. Is it bragging rights, or is there an actual monetary incentive in someone's contrast for padding the stats?

Fans who actually care seem to be of the little kid variety. And I'm pretty sure Billboard isn't rock solid when it comes to integrity these days, so any artists with cash and label fire power can probably just buy their spot one way or another.

Yeah, the signed cd were definitely for the chart, hopefully they’ll still donate the money, and apparently those 60K are in total between all forms, still, i don’t think they would actually sing more than 5,000 (Ariana has signed this quantity before) but yeah, I think they’ll probably send lots of autopens

she’s signed 10k before too, maybe even more because the second batch weren’t numbered like the first

I saw this on Instagram the other day when Ariana or Justin posted something or other. I have three thoughts on the "drama":

1.) I have absolutely zero respect for the main accuser. With all due respect to anyone who may be a fan, I can't stand his "music," and I assume he's a self-absorbed, delusional, asshat based on the very limited amount I know about him. I absolutely can't stand anything to do with this guy, and even if these claims are in fact true - simply the fact that his name is attached to the accusations makes me assume it's a case of sour grapes.

2.) I know charting/ranking in the music industry us a huge thing (same with box office numbers in film), but I don't think I've ever purchased music based on a single/album's Billboard position.

3.) If these silly races to chart well create more opportunities for people like me who are typically unable to attend live shows to buy signed items, then I'm happy about that. Yes, I know this might mean autopens become more prevalent, but at least they're easy to detect compared to other means of forgery or fraud.

I suspect that the longer live music events are MIA, the more prevalent this type of behavior may be. Some artists are becoming more creative or even accessible right now. For others, the douchebaggery is soaring to new heights.

I certainly hope so. None of them have been artists that I am interested in, but I think there have been at least a couple of posts on here about bands/musicians putting the stuff they normally sell at their shows onto their webstores.

[*beating a dead horse*] Without trying to digress this discussion into yet another about the MT fiasco, the fact that someone through the effort to produce at least 3 different autopen patterns seems especially douchey... but I guess I'm just bitter.
