Awesome! Thanks

Autograph Buff,

Please - stop wiping your content and images and PLEASE stop closing your discussions. Once again here you did just as you did yesterday with your forged Elvis.

The only thing I can add is that I would imagine Shirley's later years ttms were real based on her signing, or non-signing, habits. Shirley would sign ttm for many years but IIRC would send a note saying she didn't have photos on hand but would sign index cards or photos if sent.

Shirley stopped signing ttm in the late 1990s or 2000 and would refuse mail unopened. The reason was she found out people were either selling her autos online or were mass sharing her address on whatever sites or publications were around at the time. For reason I feel she did an interview in the mid 1990s with the Autograph Magazine during the time she did sign but I could be wrong.

She started signing VERY briefly around 2007. Again, she had no photos to send but would sign items sent. I can't recall how long this last though I did get a signed index signed. It must not have lasted too long because by the time I got her 1980s autobiography book she had started refusing again. I don't think she ever started signing again. I'm not sure I've ever seen such on and off signing from those who use secretaries to sign.

Honestly, I've never really heard of her using a secretary to sign on her behalf. Even at the peak of her popularity. If it did happen it was extremely limited. I've always noted her signature as real or fake. Most of the fakes are fairly obvious.
