Signed Genesis LP by Tony Banks and Michael Rutherford

Hi, I came across this signed Genesis LP on ebay tonight and was wondering if the two signatures are authentic.  Can anybody voice their opinions? I have no clue what Tony Banks or Mike Rutherford's signature looks like, none at all.  That's why I'm counting on you's, thank you...

Likely authentic.  A forger would probably have tried to add other, more valuable members signatures. JSA got this one right.

There is a nice chop out of the lower left and a sticker lower right. I'd keep looking. Quality is key - a missing chunk is not helping.  I find it cheaper to seek out raw autographs than pay for certed stuff maxed out. That is just me.

Yes, I'm aware of this.  I wanted a Tony Banks autograph so the other evening, I went shopping for one and this is what I found.  I am also aware of the "chip" on the lower side of the jacket also.  It's one of those minute or "petty" defects that are easily overlooked.

A chunk out of an album cover is not easily overlooked. If a missing chunk is not damage what is?

Those "chunks" or "slits" on the side of an album jacket were pretty common in certain record stores in the '80's, I purchased a Journey LP and it had the same slit on the side.  I'm not certain why they do it other than to sell the album at a discount.  I'm not sure though.  Surely your aware of this Eric, no?

No actually, I don't collect vinyl. I have seen similar things on promo copies - cutting off the bar code etc.

Is that gum residue on the LP from a removed sticker approaching the right corner?
