Hello Tanya:

You have tenacity which is important. The more money you were ripped off for by Brian Burkel, the more likely the government will get involved. I suggest that you contact officials at the county , state and Federal level with all your evidence. I suggest that you return nothing directly to https://a-authentication.com/. Just do a chargeback with your credit card company or paypal. YOU WILL RECEIVE A COMPLETE REFUND THAT WAY INCLUDING POSTAGE.

Be sure to tell the credit card company that he will not give a full refund and that is why you are requesting a chargeback. Paypal already threw him out. If there are enough chargebacks , he will be disowned by Visa, American Express, Discover and Mastercard.

You can do all the research on this site regarding Burkel and the various companies that he has owned.                                 Put all that into your complaints to the government. Of course, https://autographsauthenticationservices.com/ is the same company so the COA's are worthless. There are numerous threads on this site regarding Brian Burkel. I suggest that you put your 'story' on each thread. I suggest that you also start a new thread. I also suggest that you write to the Better Business Bureau in his area of Nevada.

Yes , I have written to authorities, etc. Nothing happened as I was not ripped off by Burkel. Perhaps you will succeed if he 'suckered' enough money from you.

Burkel will change the name of his company : Prestige A+ Authentication   https://a-authentication.com/  after you have outed him if you do it right. The only way he stops with the forgeries is if he is indicted. Just about everyone on this site knows about Burkel's antics and many of us have reported him, but he is still in business after all these years. Apparently, the Feds have bigger fish to fry. Maybe YOU will be the one who puts Brian Burkel in jail. Just keep spreading your experience all over the internet, contact newspapers in Nevada , contact TV stations---both local and all national cable outlets, contact all authorities you can think of................and maybe you will prevent thousands of other 'suckers' from being exploited by Brian Burkel. You will be doing all autograph collectors a favor. Good luck with your endeavor.

Hello Tanya:

All the items that your boyfriend bought are 100% fake. Every certificates with my name on it are 100% fake.

Tanya,

I’m glad you found us. Everything you posted is a blatant forgery. I’ve never seen a genuine autograph offered by this store or any store owned by Brian Burkel, the person who owns this company. The doors album alone signed by Jim Morrison would easily be worth $30,000 plus if it was real. Same for the Jimi Hendrix and The Experience album. Lynyrd Skynyrd album signed by all the dead guys, crazy rare.

You paid by credit card so you should be fine. I would deal with the credit card company instead of dealing with the dealer. He can play all sorts of games with you. You can private message me here and I’ll give you a hand if you need it.

Steve, you are the best!  Thank you so much for your genuine care and help for all of us here.  I will message you sometime later today, I am wondering things like...if I contact the credit card company, at what point do I send the albums back, or do I really want to give them back to him at all, so that he can scam more people?   But what about the 20% for returning within the first 30 days?   I am at 22 days now...things like that.    So once again, I can't thank you enough for your help, and I will message you within the next few hours.  We have 20 albums from them, like I said. Probably have spent around $10k-$14k.  We went into this complely blind and uneducated, ignorant.  But just this website alone has taught me more than I could even begin to explain in just the past 2 days I have been investigating this issue.  Collecting and trading memorabilia seems to be a fascinating field, my boyfriend has become obsessed! lol  However, people like this Brian Burkel can completely ruin people's passion and experience in a heartbeat, so I have learned.  How do we get rid of him around here for good, so that he can't continue to scam and hurt more people?  If there is anything that I can do to help the process, please let me know!  Thanks again Steve, you are very much appreciated.

Hi Tanya, good on you for posting all of this and I'm truly gutted for you and your boyfriend that Brian Burkel has taken some of your hard earned money.

Thankfully, as Steve says, you did the right thing paying by credit card and going through with all the evidence should ensure you get your money back with no need to pay anymore to these scammers.

You may also want to file a complaint with your local Sheriff or FBI but I'll let Steve and others chime in if required on that one.

The good thing is you've been quick to come here and most of us at some point have purchased items in our early days that turned out to be fake. Hopefully, others will see this and it will help them avoid being ripped off as well.

Good luck and hopefully, you will both get your money back soon.

I’m happy to help. Burkel stole from you. Theft by fraud. Forgery dealers are psychopaths and thieves. You will not have to take a 20% discount. But you do need to do this through your credit card company or in conjunction with them. You want to follow their instructions.

TANYA

Brian Burkel just changed the name of his company. It's new name  is PRESTIGE COLLECTIBLES;

Here is the new url:

https://a-authentication.com/

So now when a person who knows very little about autographs and is searching for a gift will find nothing negative on the internet regarding Burkel and his forgeries when they google the name of his new site.. In fact there is a company with the same name that is a leader in selling Japanese Baseball Cards. The most we can do is to just click on his google product listing ads. Is this futile or will he finally be apprehended?

Bernard,

You can make a difference by writing blog posts talking about it and posting examples, with images as well as links.

Is you put the time in writing good blogs on Burkel, I’ll do the SEO to help them rate well on Google. I can’t do it Monday because I’m off work for a holiday, but Tuesday and when you write other ones.

You can also write discussions in music categories like Hendrix, Beatles, which can help too.

Isn’t this thread essentially a blog?

It’s similar, but blogs or more like columns, and there are stronger SEO tools.

Plus, Tom, this is a great discussion you posted, but it’s from February 2019. Fresh content makes a difference, a big difference in many cases. And replies don’t attract the attention that a new post would.

And some people want to read blogs rather than dig through a discussion. There is room for both, they’re both valuable. In this case blogs are needed along with discussions.

Good work Bernard and I admire your tenacity.

I had a similar thing with a seller here in New Zealand a few years ago. It took 5 years until they were finally taken down by law enforcement and was the most frustrating time as it seemed nobody cared and the seller could just get away with fraud.

Keep at is, as Steve says, blogs, reports, Twitter or Facebook messages warning others do help and eventually Burkel will get karma
