Thanks Joe. Exactly what I thought too!

Looks pretty typical to me as well.

Thanks Mike!

...Does anyone have any thoughts on the other autographs on the card? I know they are not Star Wars related, but as they are on the same card, I thought I would ask. They all look good to me though.

Hi everyone,

I have made a separate post about this, but thought it best to post it here too.

I have seen this George Lucas autograph for sale. I trust the seller. However, they have said that a hologram has been removed from the bottom right of the image which looks like 'K9'.

After a bit of research, I believe K9graphs is an in-person dealer who is highly regarded.

The person who is selling this autograph now bought it over the Star Wars Autograph Universe page from a private seller. I guess this private seller could have obtained it from K9graphs?

I just wanted to find out a) your opinions on this autograph. And b) if you remember it being for sale on the SWAU a few years ago, or if you ever remember this one being sold by K9graphs?

I find it a bit strange that the K9graphs hologram was removed and the matching COA lost if it was originally obtained by him.

Thanks,

Lewis

George Lucas' signature is so hard to authenticate, that I wouldn't really trust any TPA. The only way to be sure would be to get it from a reliable seller. K9 is definitely one of those reliable sellers. So it's very weird that someone would try to remove his COA. Personally, I think it's a bad sign. I wonder if someone bought a legitimate K9 Lucas, and then attempted to transfer the sticker/COA to a forgery for resale. I'd avoid this one. K9 has an eBay store, and you may be able to contact him and see if he's got any for sale directly.

Thanks hbw60. Yes, I thought it was very weird too! Like you say, as his autograph is so simple, it is very hard to authenticate! It's strange why someone would want to take the K9 hologram from this one though, as surely that would then just decrees it's value?

Also, I thought that K9 but his holograms on the back of the autographs, and I believe the K9 hologram in this one was on the front!

Everything sold through SWAU is pre-screened by the best of the best, regardless of any COA it may or may not come with. The autograph while not pretty, is real.

Ok, thanks Mike. How are they screened on SWAU as the George Lucas one us very hard to authenticate?!

Its authenticated the same way every other autograph is authenticated, Lucas is easier to authenticate than most modern celebs

Looks pretty typical to me.

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate your opinions regarding this Star Wars Episode 1 script book signed by George Lucas and Rick McCallum.

I have been told that it was obtained directly from the publishers. However, I am curious as to why the publishers would give out a dedicated copy to someone who does not have that name.

I would have thought that the book publishers would have only sent out undedicated copies, and why would the publishers sell a copy which has already been dedicated?

I didn't know if any of you have seen such a book signed by Lucas and McCallum before?

Also, what do you think of the autographs themselves? I see that this particular George Lucas one has a loop at the bottom of the 'L' which I haven't seen before?

Thanks,

Lewis

“Leon” may have been able to achieve the autographs personally through his connections at Lucas Books, and decided to sell the item privately.  George Lucas and Rick McCallum may not have been willing to sign it without a personalization.  I believe that it is authentic.
