Jimi Hendrix autographs
Hi guys, is there any authentic signatures of Hendrix? I'd be very appreciate to any opinion, especially if you're a long-time collector or an expert of Jimi. Thanks a lot and take care, Tim.

you are saying some big stuff... there are indisputably authentic autograph books ... and I repeat Hendrix in his first tour was not very well known and probably signed a lot. but where are these autographs books that the forger should find? But where? show me these fake or not.

Keithsppon don't know Hendrix signatures and don't know Hendrix music life, this is the problem. And come here to say that all Hendrix are fakes... no good for collector. Sorry.

There have been some good points of discussion in this thread, of particular note was the earlier example of a slightly atypical Elvis which proved to be solid. Many of us take chances on pieces we think MAY be authentic. I have done so and have come up correct a few times and have been smoked badly on a couple others. It's simply part of the lessons as we learn along this journey.
Where I would suggest caution is in speaking in absolutes and denigrating another member's feedback. To what one collector may be questionable another may see it as "close enough" to take a chance. Your attitude, Mojo, in saying that someone does know this or that is matter of opinion. As a case in point, you and I had a difference of perspective on a Blues piece a few of months ago. For either of us to cast insults towards the other's knowledge of this area would have been infantile. Keithspoon1978 DOES make a sound argument in that forgers do sometimes take an autograph book or multi-signed piece and then add a big name to it in hopes of getting a bigger payoff. It does happen with some frequency, and I have seen many discussions on AML that reference the practice. While you may disagree with Keithspoon1978's feedback on the Hendrix signatures (hell, there has been feedback of several flavors in this thread alone), you are dead wrong in your argument against his general point that forgers do add a big name graph to an otherwise legit piece. Its parts of the hustle and con they use in passing off bad signatures.
I am not taking a stand on the Hendrix graphs in any case (not something I know enough about). I do, however, care that those of us who frequent this forum express ourselves with a level of decorum and respect. That is part of what has made this community successful. Please don't speak in such absolutes as you are a collector like the rest of us. Many of us have spent years learning as we go along. It's cool to be passionate about your knowledge of a topic, but don't confuse passion with bad manners.

I agree with Keithspoon that a forger can add Hendrix to any autograph book ... but some autograph books of Hendrix are authentic, with a very solid history and contain all the autographs of the artists touring with hendrix in 1967. An all autographs correct. You don't understand my point... sorry

Keithspoon1978 responded early in this thread when he wrote "None are real all fake." He was not stating that there are no authentic Hendrix signatures anywhere. We all know that there are many legit Hendrix autographs. His statement was referring to that he thought "none" of the presented 4 examples were real. Saying "all are fake" was another way of stating that all four of the presented examples were not authentic in his opinion. If this is the statement which caused your frustration then perhaps there was a misreading of the comment. The response was not a statement on any and all Hendrix signatures. It was a response to his thoughts on the four presented examples.
I won't belabor this point any further. I think that there may have simply been a misunderstanding of the original comment and things got blown out of proportion. In any case, responding to each other in a mature fashion goes a long way in keeping things civil. Thanks.

No Tacoma the problem is not this post, the problem is that Keithspoon think that all Hendrix could be fake and not genuine, all in the world... this is the great problem... and this not help collectors... do you understand now?

I never said all Hendrix autographs are fake....you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference what is real or fake with this forger.
I said the forger as been doing them for at least 25+ years and they are that good you can’t tell the difference...Noel and Mitch as well...all the older collectors and dealers know of this but have no hard hitting proof. They have been passed of as real for years by all the big dealers and auction houses.Sadly some people don’t like the truth

If i or other people aren't able to say real or fake... are all fake, easy! Each autograph of Hendrix posted in this site for you is always fake... these are your words... you aren't an Hendrix expert... sorry.
