If I can get it done without having to send the guitar I would consider doing it. I will look into it.  Thank you for posting the information.

did you ask him on the drum?

That's exciting!

TW,

This is a very special and valuable guitar. I agree, don't send the guitar for authentication unless you want to sell it.

you don’t have to send it in. just go to a jsa or another reputable dealer show and stay there with it. you should get it done for whoever down the line you pass it along to  so they know it’s legit and they don’t get taken . it’s worth more then. it’s not a bad idea and then you don’t have to get questioned for the most part by whoever sells it down the line  .  i’d still be curious on the drumhead from roger

I wasn’t planning on keeping the drumhead so didn’t ask about it when I submitted the guitar.  I used to collect all kinds of signed music memorabilia but these days all I have are the 26 guitars, 6 albums, 1 top hat and this drumhead.  I have narrowed my collection to what I truly enjoy.

that’s great! glad to hear roger approved it for you. congrats!

TW, do you still have the drumhead? I'd think they're really good forgeries if they're not real. If you have it, I'd get another online opinion from Roger and send it to him for an LOA if he likes it. I think he'll credit you the online $15.

Hi TW,

You are most welcome - great news :)

ACOA will pre-authentic your item for you. It will become permanently listed in their database with a photo when approved. They will even send you a letter for $10 additional. It's as close to a full authentication you can get without submitting it. I also believe that Roger Epperson is part of their team of experts.

That’s good to know. Thank you for sharing.
