Skipping ropes once owned by Bruce Lee. These were made in accordance with Bruce's requirements to have swivel handles. Purchased about five years ago from a collector who purchased them direct from TK son.

Certified by Taky Kimura.

A lot of similar pieces have been sold but with fake certificates. Genuine ones should have the read mark and a picture of the piece certified.

Here are numerous examples of Taky Kimura COA Bruce Lee items in which NONE of the items themselves are authentic and NONE of the signatures from Taky Kimura are authentic either (and similar in presentation to the non authentic signature on the jump rope COA).  Some have pictures, others don’t.  Some have the exact stamp as the jump rope picture, others have no stamp.  They are all variations of non authentic COAs for non authentic items.

It would be appropriate to ask for a refund and hopefully you didn’t pay too much. In the future, I would recommend avoiding any Bruce Lee items with COAs from Taky Kimura, George Lee, Phoebe Lee, Robert Lee, or David Tadman since most (if not all) of these are not authentic.

I would also recommend next time asking in this forum BEFORE you buy any Bruce Lee signatures or equipment.  There’s too many fraudulent items out there, and it will save you the heartbreak and hassle for later on.

Screams fraud

RE "...It screams fraud..."
Only if you are listening. ;)

What's next Barbie dolls!

Hi Michelle, I am aware of that. Thses were junk jewelry, never owned by Garland, and she was rather broke at this time as well. The amount he was selling was ridiculous and a red flag, as well as his own COA. He had a seemingly endless supply.

Forgers always make mistakes.  I find it humorous that the same title format (at top of COA page) and date (05/10/2012) is used repetitively on the jump rope and numerous other known non-authentic items listed earlier.  They were in such a hurry forging the jump rope COA itself that they have the wrong title on the paperwork (calling it a MAGAZINE) which I’m sure was another similarly forged item at that time.

Good catch Peter. This whole thing stank from the start.
After 5 years is a return/refund possible? W#hat are the terms?

Hi Eric,

No I don't believe I can return it for a refund after 5 years.

I did not pay a lot of money for them. I just checked my statement. It was purchased on 31st January 2017 for $1298 aud ($1000usd)

It appears from the forum comments that the consensus is that they are fake.

I have contacted both Greig and Andy for comment etc.

Interesting though I did out of interest contact Juliens auction. They are very interested in consignment. They put a  pre-sale estimate of $2000-3000 but indicated they would sell for much more.

Hi Mark,
With some auction houses what can be sold is different than what is real. Don't pass this problematic item to another. That is truly not cool. Eat the loss. Enough has been shown here to be very skeptical at least. I think they are quite bogus as I did from the start.

Best wishes,
Eric

Hi Eric,

I have no intention of sending them to juliens auction. Was just curious about what they would say.

If after I get further feedback it is apparent they are fake I will either destroy them or give them away. I don't like fake things around me.

Regards,

Mark
