Thank you for the honest assessment. I'm thinking about negotiating with the seller because there are few images of Eva Peron where she signed on the photo itself. The bulk of her inscriptions and signatures are on the matte board of a photo.

I agree with KaiMi. This is also hesitatingly a yes for me. Makes me doubt "con todo cariño" expression as she would write "con toda simpatia". My grandma was close friend with Eva and she signed to her "con toda simpatia"

Thank you so much for the insightful response, especially from someone closely associated with Eva.
I'm wondering if she was sick at the time and perhaps that accounts for the variation in the sentiment.
BTW, if you don't mind me asking, how did your grandmother come to know Eva?

As probably you know before meeting General Juan Peron, Eva was an actress on the rise, and when she became involved with politics had to resign to her passion. Meanwhile my grandmother was one on the most recognized actress of the time and Evita had a great admiration for her. And then, it turned that they became close friends until Eva's passing.
She was disappointed when Eva autographed her manifiesto "La Razon de mi Vida" at her dead bed a couple of months before she died with the dedication to my grandmother's name followed by "con toda simpatia", that is a more of a formal instead of something like "con cariño"
As I studied Eva's autographs, her most common inscription to general audience was "con toda simpatia"
I have her manifesto in a safe place and I will upload it here soon.

Wow! What a wonderful legacy. IMO, Eva Peron was one of the most fascinating and intriguing women of the 20th Century. Her charisma was nonpareil. I have a tremendous magnificent poster of her during her time in office. It was done by her favorite portrait artist whose name I can't recall. It was his portraits that created the national image of Eva Peron.

Lovely! That's her most famous and iconic portrait. Has appeared in many stamps issued in the past. Its also been immortalized 10 years ago in a wall on one of the most iconic buildings in Buenos Aires when she gave her renouncement speech to the vice presidency due to disagreements of the militaries and also to her delicate state of health that was classified.

On the other facade of the building has been posted another mural. If you look closely at her hair ponytale you will see 2025 which is the hour of her passing.

Hey David!
It was rumored and there is some superficial evidence to support the rumor that Juan had Eva given a lobotomy because her behavior had become erratic. Perhaps she was demonstrating signs of being bi-polar.
The journey of her body has to be one of the most bizarre stories I've ever read. It appears her body traveled more than she did in her lifetime.
BTW, did she ever visit the United States?

The lobotomy was true but not because she became erratic but to suppress all the pain she was suffering.
Also it is true al the horror stories you heard about what the kidnappers did to her body.
There's a TV series in Star+ called Santa Evita (It's a best seller novel by Tomas Eloy Martinez that mix real facts with novel, but I can assure you that 80% of the facts are true) It's only 8 chapters, that describes part of her life and the journey of the different kind of abuses her body passed thru.
She never visited the United States as she was against the imperialism -in her own words- (The UK and USA)
In fact, she never knew that one prestigious oncologist surgeon that came to Argentina to operate on her while she was on anesthesia was an American doctor. That was due she would had refuse to that.

I'll have to check out the TV series and book.
I read a bio of Eva many years which was considered the most factual at the time. There may have been a more recent and accurate bio written since then.
BTW, what did you think of the movie Evita? Personally, I didn't care for Madonna as Evita, but I never cared for Madonna.

There are tens of books about Evita. Difficult to recommend any in particular, Santa Evita was written circa 1995, but the Tv series is from October 2022.
The Movie didn´t say that much to me it´s the Broadway musical brought to the big screen, only a couple of new songs were added to the movie (You Must Love Me of the movie is really beautiful) I really prefer the On Stage Musical.
