Fine. I assume you have Judy as well?

I've been waiting for the Judy.

Sorry, Joe W. and Eric, 40 years ago I had the money and not the knowledge to buy a Judy. Still looking for an "OZ" era Garland to compare to. The one I purchased back in the day is MOST probably going to be destroyed when I am convinced it should be flushed. When that happens I will cut it in half and post it.

Sorry to hear that David.

What did she go for 40 years ago?

Worked in finding what I wanted on this for some time. It is the second 1954 A Star is Born collection I have assembled. If I can find a photo of the first I will post it as a marker of growth. Those were both signed candids. Here we have two 3.5"x5" signed studio postcards and an original tinted laminated 8x10 still showing the proposal scene not in the final cut of the film. Oz era photo, Star is Born era signature - click for larger images:

Eric, I am talking about a "36 - 38" era autograph on album page. I never kept receipts from back in the day. …Probably in the $150'-$200 range.

The photo is '43, the year of her first solo concert. Oddly, both OZ and A Star is born failed to turn a profit for MGM.

autograph looks typical ...tin man I'm not sure of...

Anthony, Way back in the day when I collected this, the "Tin Man" use it for  for your exemplar library…..If you like the signature my 40 + years of collecting should highlight the "Tin Man" as real…..do you think "Tin Man" was added after the fact with the same ink ???

That would be odd - all the angles are the same. Same hand.
