Just received this from Book Depository (only ordered one):

Hello,

We've refunded this amount back to the card or PayPal account you used to pay for this order. Your refund will appear on your card or PayPal account in 2 - 3 working days.

Well now I have BAM to hope for...

So they've had your money and lots of others - probably tens / hundreds of thousands of dollars in their account earning them lots of cash off these books they had no intention of supplying !

What a way to run a company!

I called it that Book Depository was going to cancel. I ordered from them 4 weeks ago.  But the fact that I could put 1000 of them in a cart and that it was showing up for order on Google Search didn't bode well. I ordered from multiple places in anticipation of this.  Down to Premiere Collectibles and BAM.

BAM will come through.   you heard it here first.

Target won't. You heard it here first.

I wondering if Amazon will as now my order is saying

“We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date”

so they don’t seem to have a idea on when they will receive them.

I ordered from BAM and still see it says delivery date of today (December 7th)… Has anyone heard any updates from BAM?

I have two orders through (Hugendubel and Thalia). But i have no chance to get one. This book is ordered by many many people. So it depends on your order sequence. When you have not ordered in August / September than you have no chance to get one...

Ditto and I was so sure that Book Depository would come through (I have had great dealings with them) that I had cancelled my BAM order just a day before to save the re-shipping costs (and I didn't need an extra copy). oh well.

I received the cancellation from BD as well.

The local shop I ordered a second copy from has the same issue as with Promised Land; they're still offering this for sale and my order says "arriving today" while nothing has shipped. Clearly an automated process where they have no clue. According to my orders my copy of Promised Land is still expected to arrive with an estimated delivery date of December 2020. They never even bothered to update or cancel. I don't think they will ship anything so I was hoping BD would come though.

This book is a Mysterium. I think, many they have ordered the book will not get one. Because it is extremly limited. It will be only sold under the Counter. The book store need very good connections to Crown Publishing Random House. Not every book store who have ordered will get something. And when they get one it will be a very very limited number. Maybe 5 to 10. Maybe in the US it is a little bit more easier to get one. But it is a game of luck to get one copy....

I think I saw 97 listings where these sold on ebay. Some had presold as many as 8-10 copies.  I think a lot of buyers are going to be disappointed and a lot of sellers will be left looking pretty bad.
