This looks good to me.

Me too.

Buster appears to be authentic, not sure on the others. The money is with the Keaton as his signature is in demand.

Hi Nick, thanks for the reply.

How much does the average Keaton alone go for usually? Has demand for Keaton increased in recent times? I'm quite new to this all so would appreciate any guidance possible.

Hey James, my specialty is silent film and have researched Keaton and his signature in the past. I would say 95% of Keaton’s on the market are fake as his signature is very easy to forge. Buster appears to be having a resurgence in the collectors market and is very desirable often surpassing Chaplin.

The recommendation for you for maximum value and desirability is to pay a fee to PSA to authenticate it, which it will pass. I would than have a professional framer cut and mat the whole Keaton entry with an 8x10. You could go the eBay route or an Auction House and I think you could get $1500-$2000 minus 10%.

You could always cut out the entry yourself and send to PSA for encapsulation and you would still be looking at around $1500.

Real collectors of Keaton are looking for exact provenance or a third party authenticity COA because they know he is easily forged. I hope this helps.

Also want to mention that the other autographs in no way help the Buster, collectors want the Buster solo.

That's a great idea about cutting the Keaton.  It is in a nice spot with his signature being over his bio..

Here's a 1940's Keaton signature (from the Hollywood Canteen).  Buster also shares space here as well with other signatures.  In this case, I'd leave it alone as he's together with two lovely ladies!

I have seen this example before and thought it was very underpriced considering his stature in the hobby. I probably get an email once a week if I have a Buster Keaton for sale or know of one for sale. I think a lot of admiration of Keaton from the creators at Pixar, Marvel and the Johnny Knoxville crowd are fueling his resurgence and price hikes.

Hi Nick, thank you very much for the detailed response, very helpful. Much appreciated.

Thanks for replies everyone
