This is clearly not authentic. The pristine condition alone gives it away. How did Roger Epperson certify this? I'm sure all of you Queen experts will agree as to this not being authentic.

I like Roger and he means well but I would view any Queen item with a COA of his with extreme caution.

Unfortunately some collectors don’t look past the certificate.

Apparently sold for ca. $10.5k, including buyer's premium.

From another forum I gather that Iconic allow buyers to get a second opinion (PSA/Beckett) before taking receipt of their items. Hopefully the buyer will take advantage of that option in this case.

Even if they approved, it doesn't matter. It's still being a fake. $10.5K have been thrown away.

I don't see that in the terms.

Perhaps the contributor to the other forum was mistaken but I wouldn't be surprised if this is done unofficially. In any case, it is certainly not a fair way of doing business as most buyers wouldn't even think of asking for a second opinion on an item already "certified" as being genuine.

Hi you all,

I'm back to inform you that, apparently, Iconic has removed some items, not only ANATO's, but also others that were in fact genuine. If this is indeed the case, I congratulate the auctioneers on their decision. Correcting mistakes honors them. Congratulations to Iconic Auctions!

I have a feeling that the auction house may have placed the bids itself and the items didn't reach what they - or rather the sellers - had wanted. They may well be offered again later. This would explain why some genuine items also show as not sold.

I believe eva is correct here.  I've bid with them before and was an underbidder.  The items I had bid on showed up again at later auctions.

It was frustrating and I just decided I don't have time for that anymore.

So yes, probably more an issue of these didn't meet reserves rather than authenticity questions.

Interesting point of view. It was strange for me too why they removed genuine ones? Ummh!! And yes Etienne, agreed. I think they'll put on auction again some of them. At least, I wish they won't do it with the fake one. I hope they won't.

What I have observed is that items may have quite a few bids... but once the auction is over and if it did not meet the reserve... it all reverts back to showing "zero" like there were never any bids.

Like I said, after a couple of frustrating experiences with that and seeing the same thing happened to a friend,  I just decided I don't want to play that game.
