An acquaintance offers me this autograph of Harrison Ford. He tells me that they signed it in person and I know the person and he is very serious and respectful. What do you think of the autograph?
I think there are many experts from Harrison Ford's firm in the group, so I would like to have your opinion.
Thank you!!!

If shaky writing was from age, it would be evident throughout the signature, not only at the beginning.  That happens when the person is not quite sure how to start (pressure, speed, slant, etc).  Then they get going and it smooths out.  Also, nobody stops and starts midway through the first letter unless unsure what they are doing.  As already stated, if the person were signing on the street, in a rush, they would not take the time to stop and restart, just doesn’t happen that way.

Not genuine. The signature has too many atypical traits. If you going to buy a Ford signature make sure it's typical to protect future headaches down the road. Just my advise.

My advice is to become more acquainted with the authentic signature and its real value. How much is being asked for this forgery??

To ease your mind get your autograph reviewed by Star Wars experts. For $10 they will take a look and let you know if it's genuine or not. Worth the price in my book.

Yes, and be sure to post the results. They will echo the comments here. I personally would not waste the $10 on something so obviously bad, but it seems you need to hear it from a paid source and the suggestion from Joe is the best. The opinions given here by certain folk are preferrable to any third party authentication service. And it's free. You need to learn a good deal more to navigate these waters. Will you please tell us what is being asked for this junk?

Friends
Thank you very much for the debate and please, do not be bothered by my opinions!!!
I simply think that the signatures are very random, they depend on the moment, the situation, even the mood of the person. Ourselves, if we sign many times, there are always differences between our signatures.
Look at this example. These 3 tennis balls are signed at the same time by Rafael Nadal. They look almost nothing like each other...
But it's my opinion of course!

Thank you!!

You are a spangled dream for a crooked dealer. The only thing worth anything in this hobby is deliberate research combined with exhaustive knowledge. It concerns me greatly that you still think this might be authentic as it bears no resemblance to an authentic example and reveals itself immediately with the shaky starts and stops, the slowness and the parts where the forger did not know where to go and had to think.

The comparion you showed is not apples to apples. One is signed on a flat surface while the 3 others are written on a felt sphere with a Sharpie or fibre tip. That is not ideal. Very different situations.

Its like beating a dead horse. He needs to go to square 1 with this hobby and learn the many ways an autograph can be forged and the signs that accompany them. He needs to do this before even considering any expensive autographs. We are trying to help and Gelan keeps denying it. He will learn eventually. But at what cost?

Some autographs are hard to authenticate. This is not one of them. You can not compare this signature to the way other celebrities sign.. this whole conversation is becoming pointless because I don't believe we can convince Gelan regardless.. Gelan will keep going until someone says he is right

Absolutely. Without self education and research from the get go you are an open target talking like this. Why do you refuse to tell us what your friend is asking??? You are able to respond but not willing. Do you know the value of a Ford color SP (Signed Photograph)? This all suggests you know you are wrong on some deep level.

Not at all.
I believe you Really!!!! It is very important to make sure of fakes. You have every reason in the world and thanks for the warning, really!
I still don't know any kind of price, and excuse the question: what would be the price of a real Harrison Ford autograph?

Thank you!!

You are welcome. To your question click this link:

Harrison Ford closed aution results at RR Auctions.

This is something you should be doing before you even think of buying one. The different prices reflect the qualities of signature, contrast, placement, image and so on. You need to know what you are looking for and everything else you can learn before you buy.
