Very true about art, interesting way to look at it. And right, I can’t imagine Indigo is the only place to have it but possible I guess. Will be interesting to see how many more come up.

Thank you for the details. Quite frankly it is not about how much it is worth, I think it is a really nice piece and I wouldn't mind having it on my wall. When it comes to art - my other passion after music - beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder, value is not relevant as long a you love the art.

Seems odd these are still available (regardless of the higher price) and allowing orders of up to 99 copies. I hope they come through of course.

Fingers crossed and double crossed. Their online chat agent just told me there’s no way of knowing inventory yet, so I’m not sure where that info came from. Someone says they actually called the store yesterday. God, I hope I get one of these gems!

The link for Brian Johnson book at Indigo went up on this site on Oct 8 and seemed to be same situation (able to add 99 and stayed listed for multiple days).

I noticed yesterday it was now sold out (as Jimmy James noted too under the thread).

Haven’t seen anybody post about cancellation but early I guess. FWIW, my Grohl order with Indigo got fulfilled last year so I’m hopeful, but I know many didn’t.

yeah, I wasn't in on this one but hope it works out for you all, I know indigo has been vouched for by some on here, but both this one and the Brian Johnson one feel eerily like the Dave Grohl ones that got canceled. it's just hard to believe that stock on either would last as long as it did when you're allowing up to 99 copies to be purchased.at least some of the resellers with deep pockets would have caught them and snatched up huge amounts. my guess is that they put these things on sale with no idea of the inventory and sell way longer than they should to make sure they sell them all. and then in the end just fulfill what they can and cancel the rest. The good news is I think I saw a bunch of you that got your orders in pretty early on, as I did with the Brian Johnston one so hopefully our orders go through fine. I really do wish they would change their maximum limit to something more reasonable than 99 copies though.

MY TAKE ON DYLAN. First, I've enjoyed reading this thread and am thrilled you're all getting someone on your wish list. BUT....anybody that thinks this will be a "great investment" -- I hope you're not doing it for that reason. Here's why.

First, I'll admit, I'm glad 20 yrs ago I bought a "Blood on the Tracks" signed at auction for $355. That seems like a steal now, and it's my favorite album.

Anyway...yes, Dylan doesn't sign in person. BUT...I think he's doing something in his old age. He's...signing a lot. Sometimes for charity, sometimes to sell books or harmonicas or whatever. He sold his catalog and, I think he's going to just continue selling autographs, which is going to make them worth a bit less. Now, I don't think the books will ever be worth less than what you paid, but...I think 10 years from now, they won't be worth thousands, like you may think. He's just going to sign so many more items in the future, and will probably live at least another 7 years.

As I've told people before, buy things that YOU WANT TO OWN, not with the idea of flipping, or with the idea that you're making an investment for your kids, or whatever else.

It would be great if we all had a crystal ball.

I am a massive Bob Dylan fan - his first Album was the first LP I ever bought when i was 10 years old, and 39 years later I hope these signed books do actually arrive as his autograph has always been out of my price range, and would complete my Traveling Wilburys full set - which i would never have imagined!

I could never justify spending £2000.00 or more on one of his signed items, hell I've just spent a lot money i really don't have - but this is Bob frigging Dylan arguably the greatest songwriter of all time - his autographs will always command a high price.

He doesn't need the money and has been one of the most difficult autographs to obtain in person and i don't think that will change at all - I can't see him signing that many of these books, if he signed 250 then that's a cool $2 million - it could be a one off and i will be passing mine down to my daughter (if it does materialise).

I think these have mostly been snapped up by genuine fans as only 2 sellers have made it onto ebay so far at a hefty $10000.00 USD and another for $8000.00 USD....
