Ok yeah I knew some were real and some fake with that, but couldn't remember the exact details... But all I'm saying is some have done partial signings, so it happens sometimes, and could have been the case with this as well. So it might have been good to wait to complain till after we seen what the rest were instead of basing it off one guys pics. Since Dylan is in the top 3 dream autographs for me (him, Cobain, and Hendrix) I wouldnt have minded dealing with a return even if there was a small 1% chance I ended up with a real one... but I understand with buyers outside the US that causes a huge hassle, and it was unlikely any would be real, and thats a lot of money to tie up dealing with returns... but now I'll always have a tiny bit of a wonder if any of these would have been real... and either way it's too late now.

I live about a mile from one of the biggest INDIGO stores here in Ontario.

It's at the local mall and they often have a CLEARANCE bin of hardcover books for

"$20 and under".

I wonder if this is where Dylan's "Autographed" book will end up.

...either that or in the INDIGO bathroom stalls where it now belongs !!!

LA_Autographs sold one on ebay 2 days ago with best offer when the price was at $9999.99 ......

Best offer accepted on that one was $1800. But one sold the day before for $4500 Canadian.

I don't get why flippers do pre-sales when with any of this stuff you never know what you'll get till you get it. They're going to be upset losing all that profit lol.

It's a coin toss, once items hit the open market the value drops due to competition, the faster you get the sale the more you get - worse case, you just refund the funds you have on hold. If it goes well, win win.

I've also noticed the sellers that wait till they're not flooded on eBay usually get more but maybe not as much as the first ones to list stuff. But I guess that would mean waiting to get your money back out of them also.

With something like this, that's coming out in 2 weeks it's not as bad but, I'll see some things that aren't being shipped for months get listed. I guess as long as you have the money to cover the return it's fine, and don't spend any of the profits, but I'd think it would be annoying to have to hold onto the money from 20 orders for 3 months just in case I had to refund all their payments if something got cancelled... and never knowing how much money I have for sure. But I guess that's a free loan for a few months even if you have to refund, long as you can suddenly pay back a bunch of orders.

What a sh!tstorm I started last night by posting that one image on the forum.

I’m glad Indigo did the right thing.  From a personal perspective, I’m quite relieved that, a) I don’t have to fight for my money back, b) I don’t have the administrative hassle of arranging a product return from 3,000 miles away, and c) I don’t have to spend £500+ at all.  If this thing existed as a genuine, signed edition, then I would feel compelled to buy it, but, as it doesn’t, I don’t feel like I’m missing out at all.  But I’m in the already privileged position of owning two genuine signed items from Dylan, including the rarest of all his signed books.

I feel for all those fans who don’t have a genuine Dylan autograph to fall back on.  Those for whom this was the best chance of buying one at a semi-affordable price.  This still sucks for you guys.

Indigo just agreed to refund my plum membership fee with no questions asked - make sure everyone asks for a refund

My order is also cancelled. But did not get my money back, until now...

Could someone fill me in on  what's going on?  So all the orders that were placed through indigo have been cancelled because it is believed that an autopen was used?

That about sums it up. It won't be available anymore from the publisher, anywhere, which must mean they have confirmed an autopen is used and pulled the whole publication.
