Bob Dylan Signed Art Prints
Hi all,
I purchased a set of Bob Dylan signed Mondo Scripto prints a couple of years ago from Castle Art.
The recent S&S book controversy is making me uneasy about the authenticity of the “hand-signed” signatures on the prints.
How can I tell if the signatures are autopen/are there any forum members who also may have any of these prints so we can compare signatures?

Ezekiel, I'm unable to reply to your post about emailing Castle Fine Art. Good job, Let us know what they say. Im betting it will be along the lines of it being authenticated by Dylan's manager.. The more I dig, I find many signed items that were released on a limited basis but distributed by his management at most 100 at a time.. Every in-person example I can find so far is just hear say connected to the item..Other signed items include cds that were distributed to the 1st 25 buyers, sold at $15 each, but there is no actual proof these items were signed by Dylan. Id love for someone with an in-person signature to actually have a photo of the item as it was being signed. Until then, we may have to go by contracts and legal documents.
I thought about possibly trying to hound Roger Epperson on how he authenticates Dylan's signatures. Does he have 100% in-person examples to go by? or is he authenticating based on what management hands out, like all of us are doing? If he is authenticating based on Dylan's management releases, he would not want to respond to this at all.. there would be many upset people who paid thousands for Dylan items based on his authentication. This is probably something we will need to uncover ourselves.
If anyone out there at all has a recent in person autograph example, and can provide photographic evidence it was actually signed by Dylan, please post what you have.
Just to clarify, as of now, I'm leaning towards all of these being real but I want to be 100% sure for everyone's sake so we can put this to rest

I've one of the signed Tempest (one of the ten from the New York pop up). No crossed Y; a straight Y. Copy signature attached.
I've also one of the fifty signed The Lyrics. Copy attached. Again, no crossed Y.
For weeks I've been looking at the crossed Y exemplars, and they just aint felt right. I think you guys are absolutely spot onIMG_0038.jpeg

I will have something put together later tonight for how I came to this conclusion but I now believe these art prints are authentic. The signed lyric sheet matches his handwriting found online in his notebooks. His notebooks do not contain his signature, only his handwriting so I had to connect the handwriting to feel confident in his signature. The signature from this very signed lyric sheet does match up with other signatures signed with his fancy Y. I am confident that, unless you have an autopen that matches a template, as long as you have variations of pressure and thickness, even if its just the way the pencil tails off at the end, these are authentic. Im still double checking though and open to opinions or more photo evidence to try and sway me. the one posted on the website as an example is in fact 100% autopen but there is no evidence it has been sold to anyone as an autopen. Im not sure why they would have done this. Maybe so no one ends up with the posted example? Who knows.. this is where I stand as of now based on the photos available to me. As you all know, It can still change as more info comes forward

Here's the Bob Dylan from that episode of Pawn Stars where he signed an album for Chumlee in person. We know this one is 100% good obviously.

Nice, thanks for posting this. It matches with the signatures on his handwritten notebook pages. His handwriting on those pages matches a signed lyric sheet. That signature was used in comparison with a crossed y version. They both match up nicely if you ignore the crossed y. Its a round about way to authenticate, but I am confident these are all in his hand, including the autopen templates.
