Hello, I wanted to know if there is any value in getting multiple LOA's for your item? I just sent an item i bought off of ebay to PSA/DNA for authentication, and i see that there is a JSA local event coming to my area in a few months.  Does it make monetary sense to get get COA's from both of the big authentication companies? or is it just a waste of money?

Waste of money in my opinion.

I agree, it's redundant at best.  I believe both companies have been known to pass or fail based solely on other authentication, too.  So you might really be donating money to them for zero work.

+ it likely adds no value at all to the piece if you're looking to sell it. Having one of PSA/JSA is fine.

oh, i was just curious because i know with autographs people are always concerned about it's authenticity, so i just thought that some people would really be comforted knowing that two of the largest authenticators have inspected it.

Well, I understand your reasoning.  But I don't gauge there is much of a market for anything like that.  Plus, then you have two white stickers slapped on the thing, which just wouldn't look all that great.

Personally, I have a lukewarm opinion (at best) about both companies, so neither sticker mean much of anything to me.  I think there are plenty of other competent collectors who feel the same way, so two stickers could actually end up being a turn off.

It still kills me when I see items from Tristar or MM or ones that have a Favre, Breees, Marino, etc hologram on them also have a PSA sticker.  That's absolutely pointless and ugly and adds nothing to the credibility.

it would only make sense if it were a very high end item, where the cost of the additional authentication is small relative to the sale price
