Found this going through old scrapbooks I've bought in the past and had stored in boxes. It was loose, in a scrapbook filled with ca. 1930s/1940s clippings and pictures.

There are some examples on google of his signature, it looks close but as I'm unfamiliar with his auto, this being the first time I'm aware of seeing one (never came up before), your opinions would be valued as far as authenticity.

The only online reference I can find on H.L.Etheridge is his appearance in the 1940 census, at age 58 from somewhere down south.

The bill is a late 1800s unused/obsolete bank note. I think I may have bought the bill in a group of old scraps (fractional dollar bank notes from the 1800s) and discovering the signatures, placed it in the scrapbook decades ago, but I'm not sure. I have too much stuff! A lot of which I really never went through thoroughly (the "I'll deal with this later" syndrome)!
