Rolling Stones 1965 -- thoughts on value???

I've got a chance to acquire this set of Stones sigs from the original owner.

The Stones are in no way my "field of expertise"

So I am asking for your help.

This set is from spring 1965

 

If you were me what would be a fair offer for the seller and yours truly??

That's about a $1,000-$1,200 set at auction, hitting it a bit for condition. I'd say $750-$900 would be a fair range.

I'm a cheap bugger and I don't wanna pay market value or inflated BS.  But fair is all I ask.

So... I'd offer $800-1000 and see where that gets ya for starters. It's a fair opening bid imo for those. Plenty of meat on the bone for profit if ya decide to sell.

This has the most desirable set of sigs, I'm sure you know that.

prices of vintage r stones have gone through the roof imo at auction.  Even with condition I think it would go for about $1600   plus without commission at auction because it has several things going for it and the sigs are spread  over 2 pages which makes it more desirable.  I think $1200 would be a really fair price to offer which I know is more than others have indicated but I wouldnt offer more than that

yeh but it is a nice set , with loads of positives and having been outbid on vintage stones pieces constantly over the last couple of years , I can safely say that prices are going through the roof for pieces that are in far worse condition.

Well, as far as presentation, many vintage IP sets have things more detracting to eye appeal such as yellowed cello tape or overt folds/tears. Overall, this is pretty whole, and has a moderate circular stain more or less centered, and also some pin-holes/losses or other marks upper right and left. It has a date as well. Should frame well.

I would ask for an image of the Reverse - beneath some of what we can see on the left side the slightly lighter areas with less apparent "tone" suggests to me there might be some paper surface loss on the underside for whatever reason. Very hard to say from this scan, but I would rule that out.
