That's awesome, I hope he sells a million dollars worth of those fake albums to customers that deserve exactly what they are getting for thinking you can buy a signed Freddie Mercury Album for $199.99.
EBAY is probably worse now than it was 20 years ago.
What's funny is that there is nothing you can do about it.
The authorities don't care and the customers don't care.
Unless some Attorney General holds ebay accountable then nothing will change.

The people who buy this stuff are not real autograph collectors. Just someone who wants a cheap trophy to impress their friends. They get what they pay for.
The seller is a scoundrel for sure and deserves to be thrown in jail for fraud. Nothing will happen because his customers don't care. If someone breaks in my house and I don't call the police should I blame them for not arresting the thief?
Forgeries have been around since the beginning except now it's more in our face than ever before. Kind of like cockroaches. Kill one and ten more show up.

If this seller uses the Postal Service he is committing a crime.
Mail Fraud:
Section 1341—Elements of Mail Fraud. "There are two elements in mail fraud: (1) having devised or intending to devise a scheme to defraud (or to perform specified fraudulent acts), and (2) use of the mail for the purpose of executing, or attempting to execute, the scheme (or specified fraudulent acts)."
Punishment:
Possible Punishments for Mail Fraud Crimes. Mail fraud, a felony, carries a sentence of up to five years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000 when individuals are involved and up to 30 years in prison and/or $1,000,000 in fines when a financial institution is involved.

You have to prove it. Can you prove those autographs are fake? of course you can't unless you have a video of the guy signing them.
I have put too many hours into trying to convince authorities to do something about fake autographs. They see it as a victimless crime. They just don't care.
My cousin is in the FBI and I asked him for advice. He said "worry about something else."

The Postal Service is vastly different. In fact, Postal Inspectors have as much power as the FBI. Rarely does anyone think of complaining to the Postal Service when they get ripped off.
The problem is that no one is complaining. And these cases can be proven. They have in the past. It's takes the actual customers to start the process.

I complain all the time. No disrespect but they just don't care. The post office is completely underwater. The USPS had a loss of $2.7 billion dollars last year. Its behind on funding their pensions. Fake autographs isn't even on their list of things they care about. Call a post office and see if you can even get a person on the phone. It has lost 65 billion in the last 11 years. I agree that they do have authority, but they do not have the resources.
Really what it would take is the news media. If the news media thought it was interesting they would pursue it. I tried to get someone from the USA Today to do a story. I supplied them with tons of information. They said their readers wouldn't be interested.
