The French auction house "Cannes Enchères" strikes again...

After having made more than $25,000 with a significant number of forgeries a few months ago, they are now offering another part of the same "collection".

Here is the link:

All the signatures are the same while on several LPs (and bank notes) from different time periods, but that's fine for the auction house, they have no issue at all with them... I really cannot understand how these guys from auction houses can do their job, necessarilly knowing that they are selling fakes to unedecutated bidders (while, at least in France, auction houses are a regulated profession, supposed to be representing the State).

They pulled the old "Noel Mitch switch."

Not good. No ethics where making money is concerned.

It's not very complicated: these guys can do their job because of the cash windfall.

Beatles, Stones, Queen, Bowie, Pink Floyd! It's the mother lode. And who's going to stop them? On what grounds? With what proof?

The signatures I looked at were carefully crafted junk - designed to cheat and deceive. All The Beatles stuff I saw was fake garbage. Any thinking person will wonder how The Beatles got their hands on black markers throughout their prime years to carefully sign the LP covers, photos, etc., in this auction.

Money, money, money, it's that simple.

The "Coach's Corner" of France!!!

I’ve asked the auctioneer some questions and told him these carefully placed signatures look like forgeries. Will post his reply.

Check this out...right from the PSA AutographFacts database.

Absolutely unforgivable. "Facts" indeed. This makes the PSA "Facts" Gleason exemplars look good - and those are more then 2/3 secretarial! What do people think they are paying for I don't know, but they aren't getting it. I have never submitted anything and I never will. I don't even like the term. I'll do my own work as several others here. This is just...foolishness. Between these mistakes, those darn stickers, the false sense of security and the rest - I can't stand these services.

Click for full image. OK - that IS the full image. I did it the wrong way round - but you can see all you need to:

Excellent Ballroom! Eagle eyes with elephant memory once again...

Thanks, and thanks also for doing that overlay!

Most welcome. Here is a a larger version. I did not fiddle with it to perfection - there is no need:

Indeed, there is definitely no need...

Over here shaking my head at Ballroom lolol - jeezus your good (and your AML file folder has got to be bigger than mine by now) :)
