Hi all,

i was talking with a lady who has this autographed photo of Harrison Ford she purchased years ago from Autograph Outlet, Inc. located in New York City.   I’m well aware that Harrison’s autograph has significantly changed from the 80s until now.  I did a quick opinion with PSA, and it came back as “likely not genuine.” However, I’ve also done quick opinions with them on autographs of Harrison done by Official Pix which have come back as “Likely not genuine,” and they have indeed had him in for multiple private signings. It seems as though PSA might really not be keeping up to date with the way Harrison’s signature has changed and may very possibly be making mistakes.  Could some of you who are familiar with his signature help me out please?  I’ve seen examples of his 90s signature, and this seems like it may indeed be legit to me from that time period, but I’m particularly concerned by the fact that this autograph dealer Autograph Outlet, Inc does not seem to be around anymore along with the fact that the location of where they claim to have obtained the autograph in person was misspelled.  The certificate says obtained at Zigfield Theater in NYC in October of 1994 when it’s really spelled Ziegfeld.  I don’t know if this is an innocent mistake or maybe the sign of a bad forgery job. Thanks!

This appears to be a known forgery style from that era.

Thank you.  I’m just at a major loss how to find something truly authentic by him. I’m new to this and have no idea who to trust. What is one to do if PSA is labeling as likely not genuine autographs even from dealers who have proven to have him in for private signings? I have no idea how to find a truly legit one for my collection.

You may want to try placing a WTB ad in this site's Buy, Sell, Trade forum. Maybe some members have one to offer. Feel free to ask here if you find one of your liking somewhere else. We're here to help.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions on which third party authenticators are the most reliable for A list stars?  Is it possible for sellers to forge the stickers and proof of these too?

Just saw a fake PSA cert this morning here on the site. It's not common but does happen. Let me take a look around and see if I can find a Ford or two worth looking at.

I know someone on eBay is selling a couple together which they got years ago from k9graphs who I’ve heard is very reliable.  But I admittedly am a bit picky and as great of a photo it is that the seller has, the signature seems really rushed because it was done on the street. I’d like a fuller one from a sit down signing he’s done if possible.

k9 is a great seller.

Gosh, haven't reviewed Ford signatures on eBay in awhile! They are all over the place.

Here is one close to the same price range as the one you were looking at. It comes with a PSA full letter COA. Nice larger size photo with good contrast with the signature. Seller will consider offers as well.

Hmmm I don’t particularly care for that photo but I’ll keep it in mind.  What is your opinion on this one, Joe?

Very poor signature contrast and less than top notch COA. Although, that's just my personal opinion without even considering authenticity. Everyone has a different "eye" for things.

Buying a high dollar autograph with that COA and sticker is a very poor investment choice.

Thanks.  I was tipped off that they couldn’t even spell the name of the location where they claimed to have seen him at correctly lol
