I note the reviews of the 'signature' on Camello Anthony's recently released book, and I am not filled with confidence that I will get his signature.  Apparently books have "stay melo" instead of his signature.

Not sure if anyone here bought a copy and experienced the same. I will have to wait until my copy eventually arrives down under, but I am not expecting much now.

You're referring to this, right?

I've never known specially-bound signed editions done up by the publisher to be faked, as those are usually sent to the author by the publishing label directly, then sent back.

If all the books are signed like that, I'd speculate that it could be because of the existing signing deal he has (Upper Deck, IIRC) for his baseline signature, so this could be a way to get around that.

The reviewers were not saying it was a fake, but that it wasn't his autograph/signature (more of a brand or something).  You could be right about an existing signing deal.

I'll find out when I finally receive my copy, sometime this side of Christmas I hope.

Confirmed, just got mine today from premier collectibles and it says “stay melo”. Would’ve preferred a signature but I guess I’ll take what I can get!
