While perusing autograph listings recently, including one from Gallery of History, couldn't help but be struck by the similarities between two "signed" Queen Elizabeth II holiday cards from 1984 and 1990.

Turns out, my instincts were right - autopen. When superimposed in photoshop and with minor adjustments for size, angle and placement of each, the signatures are spot on. 

While I'm not sure this is necessarily news, it may be to some and you have to wonder how many similar authentically "signed" holiday cards have unknowingly been purchased (or sold) over the years?
