Gordon, the SRV makes me real uncomfortable. He signed a LP for me back in the 80s. This signature doesn't look like the one I got from him.

Sorry Mike, but probably not good. I got one in person when I owned a music store in the 80's. This one is no way close to the one i got.

Mike, it doesn't seem right to me. I have an album he signed for me in person back in the 80s when I had a record store. Doesn't look even close to the album I have. Email me and I will send a pic of it to you.

Louie, a friend of mine got a Martin signature for me on a index card a year before he died when he was old, frail, and all but blind. It is very close to the one on the Martin Lewis photo. The Jerry Lewis signature looks good as well.

Mark, thanks for posting this! A friend got me an Eastwood signature when he was Mayor. I have always been paranoid about it. I am feeling good tonight, because it is almost identical to yours.

For contemporary autographs, they are fine. However, Even Upper Deck has had some authenticity issues the past several years with it's cut signature cards. Not only that, the cards that are real are simply destroying historical…

Panini and Upper Deck Cards

Posted on April 9, 2011 at 10:25pm 6 Comments

My local card shop has a bid board every week that has Panini and Upper deck signed cards of some really great sport people. Most times you can pick them up for cheap. They guarantee them to be authentic.  I was wondering if you sport collectors feel ok about them? Our local card shop owner has been paid to watch our NBA team sign them.
