The Authentic Experience
Interesting article. Looks like a chunk of this stuff was bought in Las Vegas with campaign funds. I'd be curious to see how many of the things he bought were forgeries.
Maybe if they find out he bought forgeries his dad could protest the businesses that peddled it and strong arm them for ransom.

Jesse Jackson Jr. apparently is a big fan of Michael Jackson, Martin Luther King Jr. and Bruce Lee.
According to federal charges filed Friday, the former congressman spent thousands of campaign dollars on fan memorabilia including $4,600 on a Michael Jackson fedora and $4,000 on a Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen guitar.
Those items are on a list filed in court of MLK, Bruce Lee and Michael Jackson memorabilia he allegedly purchased with campaign money. Also on the list is an $800 mink cashmere cape and $1,200 reversible mink parka.

Comment by Sandra Rose on February 18, 2013 at 10:33pm I agree. I don't think any of their items are good. I saw a vendor at Barrett Jackson selling high end signatures. The seller claimed they got them from Antiquities of Nevada. They had 6 Howard Hughes autographs. All looked signatures looked identical. We all know how easy a signer he was.
Jesse Jackson Jr should have bought this sign Pink Floyd guitar with Syd Barrett. Wonder who authenticated this?
Comment by Steve Cyrkin on February 18, 2013 at 11:11pm Antiquities is a major seller of forgeries. Both of their stores sell them, Las Vegas and Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.
Jackson, 47, used campaign money to buy a $43,350 gold-plated, men's Rolex watch!!
Rolex doesn't even make a gold plated watch!!! How dumb can you be???
Comment by Mr Zipper on February 20, 2013 at 7:15am What a loser. If he was going to steal tens of thousands of dollars of campaign cash, at least he could have the good grace to buy authentic material.
Prosecutors said that upon conviction Jackson must forfeit $750,000, plus tens of thousands of dollars' worth of memorabilia items and furs.
They are going to be pissed to find that "tens of thousands of dollars' worth of memorabilia" are worth nothing. I seriously hope that they will start an investigation on memorabilia fraud!! Starting with the source of these memorabilia.
