If someone studies an autograph for 40 years, one can surely be qualified as an expert.
My remark was not meant to be rude, it just fascinates me how 2 people with such knowledge can have a totally different opinion. It was more of a general remark. Sure there can be different opinions between experts, but I'd say with much more nuances.
I've seen a lot of discussions where both are "100% sure". Well one of them is totally wrong then.
Oh no please, I didn't take it as rude at all. In this in rare case Giancarlo and I are not of the same opinion on this item. One of us is wrong, that's for sure- but I think in this case, the best we can do is post examples that back our opinion. Either way, if this item was to ever be sold, rest assured that with Giancarlos thumbs up, it will be sold. He's an excellent collector and very well respected in the queen collecting circle. He's also a great friend of mine.
i personaly Would Never buy a autograph when i dont know where it comes from.also Not with some so called Certificate.in this case i know where its from.so to clear The thing up i am gonna post some other autographs Soon.
Fair play, Philipp. However I hope you understand that each individual signature has to stand on its own regardless of the stated background story. And it's not because anyone doesn't believe it came from where its said to have been from, but because (at least in the case of Freddie Mercury) we have seen examples of fake/secerterial sigs being given to execs/DJs. Even a case a few months ago where a gentleman had a genuine Brian May addressed to him and a fake Freddie also addressed to him. I believe he knew someone in the business and even attended party with Brian ect. Still, he ended up with a fake Freddie as he didn't obtain it in person. He got it through people he trusted. I have no reason to believe you're dishonest, so please don't take my comments as a negative thing against you or your friend you got these from. I just like to exercise caution and when I see something queen related that doesn't look right, I speak on it when appropriate.

It would be very helpfull if you could tell us where it's from, Philipp. Although I'm sure it's good, it would be nice to know more about this rare signed photo. Who is George? Where did he meet Freddie?.... Can you answer to these questions?

I apologize if I was rude towards Giancarlo, but he makes mistakes, and he shouldn't, as the great expert he is... Experts like him don't make mistakes... Never. Anyways, I beg your pardon, again.

Well, nobody gets it right 100% of the time. Roger Epperson is considered an expert and I was able to make him aware of a mistake he made in passing a fake Freddie letter a few weeks ago. Fran, Ive sent you a message. I hope you can help me try to recall the name of a previous discussion we were a part of a while back.

more to come in the next days.

That's great, but youre adding all these non related acts to a Freddie mercury post. I understand you're trying to prove it's real, but again, regardless of who it's said to have come from, it has to be able to stand on its own. Btw, the John Denver photo is WAY cool. Loved his work!

the reason i post the pictures in a discussion about Freddie mercury is to know the source where the autograph comes from .

obviously roger Taylor knew Georg if not it makes no reason to say thanks on his autograph.
