Looking for high-end historical? Auction on 10 December may be of interest

I haven't seen any mention on here of tomorrow's IAA "History Makers" sale (see link below). Looks like a good cross section of fields and some really high-end material. My favourite lot is probably the Martin Luther King. There is a video on Markus Brandes' site that shows a very similar one in his private collection.

Come to think of it, you don't really see dealers or auction houses plugging their activities on here? Is it not allowed? I have mixed feelings on it. Sometimes it's good to hear of things you might otherwise miss but there can be advertising overkill - as on the movie poster forum MOPO. I have absolutely no financial or other interest in IAA or this particular auction by the way.

Here is that link:

Anybody else's fancy tickled by any of the lots?

browsed this one a week ago, i did like the edward vi doc, way out of my price range, but rare since he died when he was 15 y/o, that being said i was warned he used stamps or scribes as did many of them so i can't 100% trust any of that material from the 1500s to be signed by the actual people.

This is really cool. I would never, ever pay this much though. Thanks for the link. Very interesting stuff.
