Sonja Henie's handwriting is usually very tight and compact. This signature looks to large and spread out and varies greatly from her usual tendencies. The "B" in Best wishes does not look like her usual style. I would say no to this one, imo.

Looks fine to me...

Don,

As Joe brought up, do you think the "Best Wishes" is correct?  It is almost like the signature and Best Wishes are each different styles.

Thanks,

Jason

Jason, nearly all the Sonja Henie signatures I have experience with are her early signatures. It could be that is particular signature was signed later in life. I still have one buried somewhere in a box but her early signatures were so precise that I always did a double take to make sure it was hand signed. This one is different from any I've seen before in size, neatness, etc.

I agree with Joe that I think this is probably later in life...

Ms. Henie quite often virtually printed her signature rather than write it...

Regards your question about the "best wishes"  the letter t in best was most often quite separate and apart just like you see here...the letter w in wishes is quite correct in style  and that capital H in her last name looks spot on...

When I first saw it the "later in life" scenario seems realistic... as Joe has alluded to.

Just my best guess my friend...

This is one of the two I have which are the same. Not sure if this helps.

That one, pjc is absolutely genuine and what I am used to seeing. Thanks for sharing.

A beauty! Her handwriting is awesome!
