David Bowie - real or fake?

Hi!

Would appreciate your opinion on the attached Bowie. Said to been signed during an realese of the book "From station to station 1973-76".

Do you think it's good or bad? Any help with a possible value would also help!

What makes me a bit hesitant is that this exact autograph has prieviously been sold here: https://coles-books.co.uk/from-station-to-station-travels-with-bowi...

But as seen on the attached pics, it's not a case of a cut and paste job where a dubious seller has just nicked a photo of a real sig.

Hi Jan,

That is definitely Bowie's handwriting but I am not sure those are all hand-signed. I have seen that signature before at least once before in another book. I have not studied these and the other recent books, but I took at least some of them to be reproductions as I seem to have seen a few varieties a few times.

The Coles Books photo is the Genesis Books stock photograph, at the least.

I have sent a mail to the seller and asked if he's using a stock-photo. Will keep you updated if he replies!
