Jennifer Lawrence signed hacked photo - seriously?!

While cruising through the aisles of eBay, a person can come across many interesting things, both good and bad. And occasionally, one might come across something unusual and unexpected that makes you think...you have got to be kidding me?!

Well, this evening I came across something unexpected...and ridiculous...and actually hilarious all at the same time.

Some idiotic eBay seller has offered a topless Jennifer Lawrence "signed" photo for sale. I believe it is likely one of the photos that was hacked from her phone. As I recall, Miss Lawrence was incredibly angry that some nude "selfies" of her were hacked from her phone and put online for the world to see when she only intended the photos to be for her boyfriend.

I think it's safe to say that Jennifer Lawrence would NEVER, EVER sign one of these photos. So obviously, we know the autograph is fake. So I sent a message to the seller telling him that in fact I thought this was hilarious and pathetic that he would offer this for sale...only because there's not a snowball's chance in Hawaii that Jennifer would sign this photo.

He messaged me back saying that he was able to get her to sign it because there were a lot of people around wanting her autograph and she was distracted. I call BS on that. Also, he's actually got two of these for sale. Here's a link to the sale. The picture is edited for eBay.

amazing isn't it james, what ebay allows....take a look at item number 132073017197 anna nicole if you want  to see a joke autograph this same seller is peddaling...in my opinion, ebay will allow most expensive fake items as they just see dollars and pull the authentic cheaper items to make themselves look good...

If I'm not mistaken, Ebay can get in trouble for more than just the fake signature in this case. The image is stolen and I seem to remember Lawrence (and others) threatening legal action toward anyone posting them. This is one case where Ebay might want to get their head out of their ass.

That's just what I was thinking, Rich. At first I was going to post the pics, but then I thought...oh, maybe I better not do that just in case. I might get in trouble for that, so I posted a link instead.

Side note of less relevancy - AutographstoYou.com: Fake COA and fake website.

Also, look at dirtbag 12mayvad's other items - all nudes, including ones where there's just no way (Daisy Ridley, Demi Lovato, nothing but topless Emilia Clarkes). This guy is rotten on several levels.

you know rich my hatred towards ebay came over a period of 15 years especially when i see a scumbag showing these photos on a scumbag website....i always thought even if they were authentic [which we know their not] that they were supposed to be in an adult section to begin with but even  ebay has moved away from this for the almighty dollar.....i can tell you they have received the last dollar they will ever get from me and the 250 rare autographs i have been amassing over the years will rot before ebay ever sees them...

I think it's gotten to the point where Ebay knows what they can ignore and, in rare cases, what they can't. They'll continue to do what they can get away with, and they have a virtual monopoly over online auctions. I'm torn because there are still a lot of great items and good sellers on Ebay, but plenty of other good sellers are now deterred from selling there due to fees, biases and, obviously, a focus on making a few extra dollars over the ethical quality control of their service.

boy,   you hit the nail on the head rich......myself i simply cant give them another nickle and be able to sleep at night....my disgust with them is such that after 15 years and over 2000 transactions without one negative feedback that i am ready to walk away without one iota of sadness. perhaps with any luck i will find a buyer or buyers elsewhere....

Yes, I often think the same about Ebay.  Being more or less an online flea market, I've always given them the benefit of the doubt by thinking, how could you possibly police the whole mess?

But there are so many obvious things they could do, as discussed here.  It really makes me wonder how dubious the higher ups are there.

I just try to be careful in my purchasing/selling... too bad it is such a mixed bag there.

great input gregory and much app. by me and i am sure by others....

Thank you as well, Carl.

Last week I counted 2 real Emma Watson signatures in a list of 108 SOLD Ebay items. (and that number would be higher now)

Pardon me... I suddenly feel the need to purchase a photo of her with Jessica Rabbit proportions.  heh heh... yep... they've got that too.

Oddly enough, yesterday morning I bought a tasteful signed photo of 90's model Niki Taylor (covered) and I got a laugh out of the Ebay post-auction email in my inbox.

Among the items in the "Complement your purchase with" area was a rather lifelike male anatomy "toy"!!!    No Thank You!!!

jes*$....have they gone completely nuts?  interested in who it was signed by........just joking....
