Auction, no reserve, is the only true way to get a handle on this piece. Results for signed photos will very based on the subject, in this case very desirable, a large, clear, great shot of Ruth, big smile, and out of uniform. It's an unusual picture. The inscription and signature are big and bold, great ink, no skips. Only thing keeping it from being perfect is the h running off into the black area. I might pass paying big $$$ because of that, but others it may not bother. Also, authentication aside, anyone who really knows Ruth, knows that authenticating this was a no-brainer, it's classic, flowing, 1928 Ruth. In an open, no reserve auction, this will generate a bidding war, even if you're not bidding against NP Gresham (the house). lol
