Seems very unusual with that slant to the right.
I think that Ian takes a very sensible and level-headed approach to Henley/ Eagles opinions. So no disrespect intended but I'd actually call this perfectly fine. The slant is a little odd but given where this signature is on the page, I'm not bothered by it. And the signature itself falls comfortably within what I'd call acceptable variation. That D in Don is a correct version (and there are a few) of how he signed. There's a Hotel California test pressing on RR Auction right now (can't remember if its the current auction or the preview for the next auction) with the same cursive D. And just practically speaking, why forge a signature on a book? If you're considering a purchase and want to make sure, I'd ask Roger for an opinion. For $15, it worth it.
No diss taken, just pointing out something strange, seemed like an extra sharp slant that's all. I never get upset either way if anybody disagrees, after all they are just opinions. For 25 bucks its not that much of a gamble.
Since its still being talked about, theres quite a few of these books out there (I have one, just don't feel like digging half of my closet out to get to it) and reasonably priced so forgers aren't going to go out of their way to pass one off.Though he is not always the nicest guy in person, Henley has actually signed quite a few autographs so I would go with Gilmour. Henleys signed lithos and cds don't even move that well. The Eagles are coming around this summer so I'm getting my Philly tickets, cant wait! Just got them for Jeff Lynnes ELO so its gonna be a good concert season!
