My apologies.
I’ve been completely consumed by the NCAA Tournament. The opening weekend, I watched basketball all day, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. From that point on, I’ve watched the majority of the games. I do that even if my team doesn’t do well or bows out early. I just love the tournament. In this case, my alma mater, Kansas, is doing well so far. We are in the Final Four along with Loyola-Chicago, Michigan, and Villanova.
So while watching the tournament, I’ve seen a lot of Charles Barkley. I’ve always liked him. He seems like a nice, funny guy. But one thing he said made me like him even more. I can’t remember exactly what the context was, but Barkley said, “If you’re a celebrity, and someone asks you for a picture or an autograph, you should ALWAYS say, ‘Yes.’” He said he hated it when celebrities were rude to their fans.
Thanks, Chuck, for putting out the right idea!

Bottom line is we need more celebrities that think like Charles Barkley! Although I suppose if all celebrities were like Charles and never turned down an autograph request, the value of our autograph collections would go down as the supply went up.
