We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

This video shows you how easy the new forum is to use.

You can follow the forum and be notified of new signings exclusively! And you can enter a musician's name in the forum's search box and find any discussions about them.

Be sure to click the Follow link at the bottom of the list of discussions.

Try it...I think you'll like it.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

Unfortunately, I don't see any differences among yours or between yours and mine.

I'd be very happy to be wrong, but this looks like an autopen to me.  Mine has the telltale signs of autopen shakiness, the even ink flow with no beginning and trailing off, and the dots at the beginning and end.

Those are autopen for sure. He usually does not have a full name signature and certainly wouldnt put that much effort into a mass signing of cds. That and they all look identical. I dont think there is a question on this one.

Yeah definitely autopen. They used a pretty crappy autopen machine too. You can clearly see the start/stop dots before you even begin to compare.

so can they be returned for a refund?  This is getting all too common within the industry.

If you ordered from Sanity in Australia it wouldnt be worth the return shipping.

They sold you a product that was advertised as signed that clearly isn’t. They should do right thing here and refund orders and pay for return shipping. Would think otherwise will just be a ton of chargebacks on people’s credit cards

I sent an email requesting a full refund from Sanity which they issued within 24 hours with no requirement to return items.  They indicated the "bonus material" is what was provided to them by the artist's record label.  Appreciate this type of customer service.

Nice! I have noticed that most companies are pretty good at refunding fakes/autopens. Still annoying though

I received an email asking me to mail mine back. Ridiculous to not get free return shipping for the garbage they sent out.

Same issue with Ray LaMontagne....ordered signed....no autograph....seems unfair to have to take the time to return when it was their error....

I was received a response almost immediately, there was no mention of returning anything in the email...

Just received an email from musictoday.com that they are sending out signed lp jackets to those that recently ordered Ray’s signed Lp...
