Musicians Who Sell Their Signatures In Shop.

We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

And from the Amoeba signing on Monday. I think the distinction is obvious.

Here's a link to what I was looking through - you might have to scroll down a bit, but then you'll find tons of photos from fans who posted their pics from the signing. I'm seeing absolutely nothing that looks like the Newbury preorders. The Amoeba signatures look one way, the Newbury look completely different. Minor variances are to be expected, but this is a wholesale distinction that is pretty pronounced.

I agree with Rich. They look distinctly different. I have a tough time believing those preorders are genuine after looking at the IP Amoeba examples.

no human is gonna write their names the exact same way everytime after hundreds of times..they will all slightly vary but all have the same look..they are legit, man..

As I've said before, that is not what I'm talking about.

The Amoeba autographs are look drastically different than the preorder autographs. The evidence very strongly suggests different signers. If you have evidence otherwise, please post it.

This one looks like a different person signed it than the rest of the ones shown. The 2nd signature looks like they wrote Ford for the last name. The rest don't look like that to me.

Until you have solid evidence and know or have been officially told for sure somebody else did it, they are legit.. stop buying signed studf from newbury and amazon if that’s the case and put in the time and get the graphs yourself and take pics as proof. Most scrutinize the hell out of graphs on this board and its laughable because none ever have solid evidence or100% proof! Most claim autopen here or somebody else did it.. you guys are never pleased with a graph ever it seems..the reality is, if a person signs hundreds or thousands graphs, they are gonna vary whether you like it or not.. that is human nature because whoever is signing will get bored and get creative because they have to sign so many damn cd sleeves! Furthermore there are legit rushed and non-rushed versions of anybody’s graph.who is to say they didnt slow down or speed up as they wrote.. there are several variables you have to consider before you deem any graph a fake as you compare.. at the end of the day you weren’t there...

So basically you’re saying you believe they’re real because there isn’t 100% proof they are fake. That is laughable! You must have bought a bunch of this garbage! Rich has said many times that it isn’t that they vary. You seem to be missing the point. They are completely different. And the differences don’t overlap between the Amoeba and preorders. I can’t find any exemplars that look like the preorders. Can you?

nope..havent bought much of it at all...you guys are never satisfied here is my point! you scrutinize the f*** out of every little thing without any solid proof! get over yourselves..get out of the game if you are gonna scrutinize the f*** out of every damn graph..that is laughable above all! stop complaining and pay to have them authenticated and get over yourself if you are that worried! case closed!
