It's been 5 years since we published our first Band-Signed Beatles Album Census.

It's time to update it!

A history of full-band-signed Beatles album prices would be hugely helpful to the marketplace as well, going back as far as we can, so let's build that, too. Not just from auctions, but reports from collectors and dealers who have sold them.

For starters, please read the 2011 Census, which had a few years of updating and other input added by collectors and dealers.

Add your research and commentary to this discussion for now, and as we get more data, we'll post two separate discussions to fine tune it. Once we feel comfortable with the information we have and what we have determined, we'll publish reports that will help collectors and dealers worldwide make better educated decisions on Beatles album sales and purchases.

These are the results of the 2011 census:

Beckett certified this UK-release HELP! today. Is it one of the two signed UK releases known?

I bought the Rubber Soul signed to Brian from December 1965. Brian also got a few other items signed and this may be one of them. And very, very nice I may add. Never seen the picture before but among the top visually stunning signed albums out there. It was signed backstage in a controlled environment so all the sigs got laid down well.

Thanks, Tommy. If that's the case it's probably known. We need photos of as many of the census albums as we can get.

I hope it's going onto the market. So few of the really rare albums do.

Fab 4 Collectibles I believe bought everything that Brian got signed. I think there were 4 items. I bought the Rubber Soul in the summer of 2014 and at that point everything else had been sold. And maybe some of the pictures taken down. But maybe Brian held this one back. Who knows. But if you look at the picture of the Rubber Soul you will see Ringo also addressed it to Brian. This is a very nice signed album.

I checked Fab 4's site and didn't see it, or yours, in their archive. Would you mind checking with them about it?

Here is the link to the Rubber Soul Brian got signed. I would imagine all other items have been scrubbed from the site years ago. Again. Some were gone when I bought this in 2014. But you can see the similarities of Ringo signing it to Brian. Mine has....To Brian..love from the Beatles.....at the top. Then he signed his sig at the bottom near his picture...

.

And if you look at the listing you will see the other 3 items. I just clicked the link to the pictures for the Help album and it is the same.

Thanks. I checked the archive, not current inventory. It is definitely the same album. Yours is killer.

What is a little weird is why the owner would get a letter from Beckett. I know mine came with a Frank letter already. And I would imagine the others did as well. Mine was the most expensive of the lot so I actually have Brian's handwritten letter detailing the circumstance on how he got the stuff signed. He won a radio station contest that came with front row seats and a backstage meeting with the Beatles. And he took 4 or so items with him to the show to get signed.

It might be double authentication for collectors who are newer or not as experienced in the Beatles and want a Big 3 TPA.

What about sharing that letter with us Tommy? Maybe it's already online but I don't recall seeing it.

It is here right now about 15 feet from me. I just have to figure out the scanner option on my printer. May not be tonight. But I will definitely scan it and put it up here soon.

Thank you! No rush, but high resolution cell photos often come out really well. If it's easier to try that first please do.

I'm checking out for the night. Catch you tomorrow.
