got this on ebay awhile back. does this look right?

From what I can tell it matches up with the certified one I have in a display case.  Just want to hear someone else tell me I'm not throwing money away sending it in to get certified.

Thanks

Were it me, I would not buy anything right now. I'd find some Slashes uncerted online, find one I think is good and post it here for review. I'd do that until I hit some homers and then maybe I'd start looking to buy one. Maybe. If I can't see why it is real for myself and talk about it, I don't buy it. I also do not use any PSA, JSA, BAS, whatever, nor will I buy anything with a vandalistic freeloading sticker on it. I do my own work so I know it is done the way I want and can only blame myself if wrong. This is not the approach for everyone. I just won't buy other folks opinions when I can form my own. I have been collecting for perhaps 20-25 years? I can't recall right now. I got my first IP in 1990, I know that. I have been a member here for about 4 years or so. I spend the vast majority of my time now trying to help others and save folks money etc.

PS - there is no "one thing" but a combination. No shortcuts :(

I guess I’ve musteriously turned into the invisible man... ;-)

I see ya just fine ;)

Haha, that’s good to know my friend! :-)

I destroyed the forgery.  I tried the alcohol and it worked.  I  just wanted to thank everyone for the help and make sure that you guys knew it no longer existed. see attached photos

Good deal. Thanks for the pics. Some folks disappear and the item gets listed. Not here & not you! Good man. :0 Sorry it happened.

I gave this a "Like" as Kevin posted those last photos for us. We don't always see the bad destroyed.

+1

If you read this discussion fully, with its meaning intact, you shouldn't "understand how" - because I simply did not say 100%, in fact I said I would not swear which was which because I have never seen or worked on a Slash before, like you have. I am just pleased I could suss out something was wrong with a signature I never saw. Not the first time, that. Nor did I suggest the destruction of the item shown literally as in "do this now!". I said he could, not should. That was Kevin's decision. I also said it "should be safe" to believe PSA is correct, and then gave my opinion, just like you did when you said the OP "looks fine" in your response. And I don't trust or use any of those services, and I said that as well. I believe I said we are all always learning - I like the process myself. That said, OP did not appear hand-signed, which is why I went looking for the source in the first place. I knew I'd see you today one way or another. Ah. Have a great weekend! :)

Yes, I see I did not say "could remove" and I am not getting into any argument about that. Again, reading... This "suggestion" was only made AFTER Kevin indicated he was likely to trash the whole guard. Does anyone think the PSA guard might be the forgery (click enlarge it) and the OP (again, click and enlarge) shows signs of being hand-signed from what is shown here?

No biggie guys just a pickguard it's small potatoes had it been elvis's keys to the stutz blackhawk  I'd be much more heartbroken.
