That is genuine and looks to have been signed during the time Brian was sick with I believe it was hepatitis during their american tour in 75 or 76. Most ANTO albums signed during that time missed a Brian.

Excuse me, tried to edit but missed the 15 minute window. The hepatitis flare up was the year before in 74 and 2 promo signings for this album were held. One in 75 once he rejoined the band from medical leave and the another in 76 which he skipped for medical reasons. So please ignore the "most" when I say most didnt have BM. It's more accurate to say "half". Although promoting this album, signing allowed all previous albums, not limited to just ANATO so you can also find Queen 1 and Sheer Heart Attack albums without Brian. Hope that helps.

Thank you! Any idea of the range of value with the cover dirt on album.

any help is much appreciated.

It is pretty well worn. Had this been a full set it would've been much higher regardless of the wear. I'd say 2.5 to 2.8K USD for this one. Less 70s graphs made it to 2020 than the 80s, so the value is more forgiving for those pieces. Hell, at auction it could go for more but I wouldn't feel any more than that would be fair for an incomplete set. Hope that helps.

Helps a lot thanks.  One last question if u added Brian now does that detract from value?

thanks again appreciate your help

For some, it does. That's one of those things that's down to the individual collector and doesn't  fall under the typical umbrella rules for value. There definitely are purists. On the other hand, I know of a brilliant young man who has a similar set (possibly from this same signing) who managed to get Brian added in the last couple years and although Brian is some 40 years newer than the other signatures, it still came out very visually appealing and didn't detract value in my opinion. On the contrary, it added a bit more to its value vs without Brian in my opinion. Not as much as a complete set from the same era, mind you. But that's to be expected.

However, I typically advise against adding members as John now only signs TMM with name dedications, and Roger and Brian tend to give very sloppy or rushed graphs these days. It's a bit of a gamble to get a nicely done Brian when you stop him in the street. But if you can get him during one his book tours or lectures when he's sitting down and open to a short chat, you might stand a better chance at getting a nicer looking graph.

Yikes, didn't intend to write a novel. Hope that helps. Best wishes.

Lol I appreciate it!

Another incredible feat by Mr. Innuendo!
