looks off to me

Can you share what you don't like about it?  Or is that not something we do one here?  I'm a little suspicious of the guy's story.  He looks to be a well off real estate agent (based on his profile) and says he got it at a show when he was a little kid.  They guys looks to be about 40.  Odd he would be selling something with such value.

I don’t care for it either.  There are about 5 specific spots where there are things Mantle just doesn’t do.

Can you share those 5 spots?  I understand the danger in that.  We don't want to educate the forgers, though I'm certainly not one of those.  Just trying to educate myself so I can get a valid ball for myself and hopefully educate others in the future.  Feel free to chat with me in a private message if that is better.

I will mention a few.  The M in Mantle is huge, the c appears to stop before continuing the connection to the k, the huge gap between the n and the t in Mantle.

in addition to Steve's comments, the second hump in the M in Mantle is higher than the first.

For sure.

Thanks gents!  I really appreciate the "lesson" on this ball.   I Have included some pics of various Mantle balls currently on eBay.  All come with a COA from Beckett, JSA, or PSA.  Do you think these are good balls to use as a comparison to any ball I will look to buy in the future?  I can see what you didn't like in the ball I showed a man was selling when I compare it to these!

Thanks!

All of these are very nice examples to use for comparison purposes.
