Charlie Chaplin

I friend of mines father was the owner of hotel Dieng in Indonesia . In 1936 Charlie Chaplin and Paulette Goddard stayed  there . My friends father left her a picture of Charlie Chaplin with a handwritten  message  on the back. 

Could this be his handwriting and autograph? Or did someone else wrote it in his name?
