Fake imo

I believe this is not authentic.

What makes you believe that this isn’t authentic?

I have a problem with the “s” in wishes. There seems to be a stop and restart at “tn” in McCartney and than the dot at the end. These attributes would make me stay away from it but again it is only my opinion and I wouldn’t want it for my collection.

Isn’t that a long line underneath the sig? I don’t think Paul made them that long.

I also believe this signature is not genuine.  It appears to be signed slowly or carefully. In addition to what’s already been mentioned check out the “l” in Paul.

hi everyone

I posted this autograph for your information. It IS genuine.

It was attained by my parents when they met Paul and Linda in a restaurant in London in 1973.  They sat down at their table for a few mins and had a chat. Paul mentioned that his new album , Band on the Run, was about to be released. He wrote 2 autographs on a paper napkin. They actually each have dedications  but it's cut off in this picture. This one was then stuck into an autograph book (!!) which spoils it a little. I think that they are great examples of carefully written, not rushed,  complete signatures.

The way PSA, Spence and other TPA’s work is that they have absolutely no bias in regards to a nice family story such as yours. You could tell PSA that your father was Paul McCartney and they would still fail something. I guess my point is, based on the example you provided I don’t think it would pass certification. Again, just my opinion as I’m not a certified autograph authenticator (would mean a huge pay cut).

I understand that and don't disagree. But for those of us wanting to learn more about signatures, this is one to study.., genuine 1973, not rushed, and with a 'best wishes' dedication which I haven't seen much of

Yep, he usually does “All the Best”. But fair enough Ricardo. I enjoy your posts on the site.

its difficult to learn much from something signed on a difficult signing surface, such as a napkin.  I do believe this is authentic, as there are a lot of technical positives, but the writing surface has also created issues with the normal flow and some letter formation.

I believe that PSA and JSA together have authenticated several different Macca forgery styles, so an authentic example that isn’t obviously so should have a decent chance of passing certification.
