I dont have a great feel for Elvis yet, but it does look a little too pretty. Are the army photos a common forgery?

There is a well known forger in Germany who pumps out this stuff - this particular one I don't know but generally, yes. Karsten will have more to say.

This one looks a poor copy photo.

I have two questions

Is it certain it is live ink and is there a border on the photo?

A border is not shown in your image

I think it is cropped out as the ratio is almost square in the photo and not so in the photo of the back.

Hi Don, yes there is a border around the image. Cannot tell if live ink - photo.

That's not a fan taken photo IMO

Probably a one of a kind image.as Elvis appears to be "at work" out in the field so likely taken by a fellow soldier & then signed at a later date.
