Hello everyone, my first post here and I'm looking at a guitar on eBay from a seller check-out-my-rare-items. This seller has a ton of signed stuff from musicians but none are certified by jsa or Beckett or anything. He says the COA is from him himself. Has anyone dealt with this seller?

It seems most of his stuff is pretty well discounted like around 50% off. I'll post a link of the item below. Just looking for help and feedback. I dont want to shell out 3k for a fake autograph.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!

I cannot comment on the authenticity of that particular signature but before getting there I would suggest you attempt to assess the seller.

Check out the feedback - particularly the negative feedbacks.

Look at his/her other listings - are they plausible? $22,000 for a signed copy of The Wall?? That should ring some alarm bells right there.

I see lots of reference to the word "Proof" in their listings and it seems that what they mean by "proof" is a generic image of the signer in question signing something but who knows what/where/when?

The Paul McCartneys on display are horrible.- and the same photograph for "proof".

Have you noticed that all the guitars are (probably) the same cheap copies and he gives no info about them? So this guy has access to the world's great guitarists......??

A lot of the time it is just common sense - or common denominators.

Buy this at your peril.

That was my guess as well, as I noticed the same exact guitar for tens and tens of artists which seemed weird and he would put a picture of supposedly him with the artist.

I think I'll stick to JSA and Beckett verified, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this seller. I greatly appreciate all of your feedback.

Excellent analysis, I was going to mention the same points. Definitely stay away from this seller!

Thank you for the feedback Nick! Looking for an Eddie Vedder or pearl jam signed guitar but the JSA and Beckett are all pretty dang pricey, I will continue to look with these pointers in mind.
